Upgrading factory logic 7 subwoofer

Hi guys,
Anyone replaced the factory tailgate subwoofer.
I have the logic 7 premium sound in my 2013 disco and looking to improve the low end.

If anyone has done this. What sub did you use that was both the correct depth and impedance.

Thanks in advance

Have you looked at the condition of your subwoofer? The foam may have degraded, which apparently is quite common.

If that’s the case, I’d be tempted to replace it with a good one from a breakers, as the original system when working correctly was pretty decent in my opinion.

The subwoofer looks in very good condition. It does sound very good but was sat in a friend's a4 with bang n olfusen were they replaced the factory sub with a focal unit running on the original amp and it just sounded so much cleaner on the low end.

The car audio/alarm specialist I’ve used for 30 years seem to have access to databases that list direct replacement speakers etc. that fit with little or no modifications needed.

They’re in Bristol:

I’m sure they’d tell you what brand/model would fit, but you probably have a similar business nearer to home.

In my previous D3, I installed a shallow-mount 10" Pioneer sub. Ran it via a separate amp and the bottom-end was very good.
