| Red triangle / engine stopped. |
|
Currently sat on the hard shoulder of the m4.
My 2010 D4 started slowing a little then red triangle came on saying engine fault, no other messages. Got to hard shoulder had cut out completely when I stopped.
No noise or smoke. Turns over fine with no ugly noises but wont start.
Got AA Coming out but anyone had similar? Cheers Current........

Earth straps worth looking at too. These beasts soon get confused by any electrical issues. .

They run battery to engine and body.
Easy to eliminate/prove they're the issue by connecting a jump lead between battery negative and engine.
If that fixes it, get new earth strap(s). If not, carry on looking for the fault. .
