HELP d3 tdv6 05 codes p0299-00 p006a-00
These codes keep putting my into a lower power mode I know it's turbo low boost pressure and map and MAF sensor correlation car has been to 2 experts who cannot find anything there are no holes splits slits Olin pipes it's been pressure tested and smoked tested and has been found to be fine I have even put a reconditioned turbo on her with no luck the map and MAF sensor have been changed and up until the last land rover specialist updated the ECU to the latest software version if I unplugged the MAF sensor my problems went away, but with the new software it still runs rubbish whether it's connected or not
Readings have been done and MAF and MAP appear to be reading as they should.on acceleration and deceleration and yes there is and awful amount of black smoke on acceleration sometimes to the point you cannot see behind... Someone must have suffered this before I see some of the posts and it's always a split somewhere but not in this case...

OK so have you checked the turbo actuator rod is moving freely? Also, what diagnostic tool are you using?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Yes actuator moving nice and free was also on my last turbo ( new one was a recon) initial read was on a icarsoft lr2 but testing of the MAF map and confirmation has been on a snapon verus which my mates garage uses. We also have had all the intercooler pipes off to fully check for any holes and bypassed the intercooler to test if it was that.

In that case it seems you have a leak, and a big one at that so you'd think it should be obvious. Have you checked the inlet manifolds, plenum chamber, etc?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I have for the obvious leaks yes my egr valves are blanked so throttle flap is removed. I did read in a forum for a Freelander 2 that he had a similar problem and it turned out To be O ring and an inlet gasket.
Not sure if the same is related to a tdv6 and not mechanically minded enough to start taking it apart so Monday will speak to my mate who can do this kind of thing... I would have thought any external leak would show up on the smoke test though.

Yes a leak "should" show up on the leak test, but sometimes on rare occasions the area leaking only does so under induction pressure.(ie the split opens)
I don't want to send you chasing your tail, but if all the external induction fittings are sound, including the intercooler, turbo, and associated pipework. Then the only other area left is the engine itself.
You may have to stick a camera into the injector ports to see if there's anything wrong on the compression side. (damaged valves or piston) Although it should throw an injector dtc if that were the case.
If you can get a snap shot of the engine live values and post them here something might jump out!yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Just been through injector issues with my lexus that was zero fun and expensive.. what values are you after map, MAF, boost pressure, injectors

This is what you should be seeing in a fully warmed up TDV6 running fine.(albeit I think this was an EU4 and taken on a winters day) but it should be similar.

Not sure how many of them are readable and if the icarsoft is ok for it these are screenshots from a video I know the injectors are well within the numbers you have given as they were all about the 1000 mark give or take these were as I was driving fyi

Remove the oil cap and engine top cover, and replace the oil cap. Check the pipework entering the manifolds at the "Y" junction behind the plenum chamber. Also, there are small breather tubes which go from each manifold to to the crankcase breather which sits behind the oil filter. These are prone to splitting and may be affecting the pressure loss.
The other thing which clearly is amiss is the MAF sensor readings. Check the wiring harness and connections. You could also while you're in there remove the MAP sensor and make sure it's clean. Do not poke anything into it if it's dirty. Use brake cleaner, or carb cleaner to dissolve any grime.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Checked all the above even took the throttle body off and changed o-rings used gasket paste on all pipe joins and blanking plates and I still have the same codes 😩😩😩
