Disco 4 TDV6 hesitant pull away ...

Hello all, I have acquired a 2014 Disco 4 TDV6 which hesitates when pulling away. It has done 100k and seems to be well maintained. My previous vehicle was a D3 which had similar symptoms....this was cured by blocking off EGR valves.....can I do the same with the EGR valves on this vehicle (with remap if possible) I would appreciate any advice you could give..
