Pilkington
Hi all
I have jus been told by National Windscreens that Pilkington Opticool is no longer available and Shatterproof is the alternative.
Is this really true?
he has gone away to try and get a pilkington one.......

No, not true. Pilkington is available if you persist. Had this last year with Auto Windscreens. I asked for a Pilkington glass, and they assured me that they only buy from Pilkington. Twice they turned up with a Shatterprufe screen, and twice I turned them away. Ended up getting my screen done by an independant screen company, and they got a genuine Pilkington glass for me.
It turns out that Pilkington are supplying Shatterprufe to the agents because they ran out of their own!Richard

National Windscreens took 6 days to turn up with the wrong screen. The alternative was to wait even
longer for another substitute.
A local Norfolk Windscreen fitting company are here now fitting a Pilkington Opticool 23 hours after my first email to them.
What a mug I was to go with the major national in the first place.
