I am worried that my folding mirrors will break when winter is here.
The car get fully iced, windows are stuck, could be the same with the mirrors.
Is there a way to cancel the folding of the mirrors? How? Discovery 4, MY2011, TDV6 Auto

With SDD or IID, change "fitted with logic" to "fitted" in "folding mirrors" section. Wojtek

did not work!
Changed to undefined. I have not really investigated what this is doing. Will it affect when driving backwords? Discovery 4, MY2011, TDV6 Auto

Silicone lubricant on the swivel part of the mirrors, if they are covered in frozen snow and try to operate the safety catch built into the mirror mechanism will operate, same as it they come into contact with something. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I know on Freelander 2 if you lock the car, mirrors fold in.
You then manually (i.e grab hold and pull) the mirrors open which will mean they will remain permanently open until you do the reverse. You can still fold them using the buttons but locking/unlocking wont change their position.
If im wrong then someone please correct me as its been a while since i owned a FL2. 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

Should not, they shall tilt to curb view as usual.
According to the sources, this setting manages mirror folding on lock - interestingly enough, it seems it only works in the L322s, as I too have the proper hardware in my L320 and just like with your car, it didn't make any change.
I am pretty sure there is a setting in the CCF that actually manages the folding on lock. Maybe there is something else to change? Perhaps someone at GAP Diagnostics has the definitive answer? I don't use IID so I am not eligible for support...
I would refrain from manually forcing the mirrors to open, the silicone spray idea has much more mechanical sympathy. Wojtek

Is there a way to unblock the windows, I tried to move down after a quick de-icing but they got stuck, now that it is warmer (roughly 2 weeks later) they still don't move down.. annoying especially when getting parking garage tickets from the barrier machine (have to open the door : )
