Evening all,
I have to post this in general as I’m asking the question about a RRS.
I’ve stumbled across a couple of RRS 4.4 V8’s pre 06 and they are very reasonably priced and seem easier to come by, compared to a D3 V8.
Are there any differences between the RRS and D3, apart from the RRS being inferior to the D3, usability wise.

Some RRS have active hydraulic antirollbars. They can fail and leak. So check for a bottle by the air box.
Small boot.
If you want the rear seat down, not good for tall drivers on long distances
I’d have the 4.2 SC.

Iv got a 4.2 sc and the wife runs a d3 v8 all the petrol rrs have ace system. You could find 4.4 na rrs there are x2 on the bay engine is exactly the same as the d3 v8.
The supercharged is erm if you press the loud pedal.
They are fantastic value however iv been fixing mine ever since I bought it with issues I think there pretty simple to work on and maintain if you can live with a d3 you can live with a petrol rrs.

A bit of tlc and minor fixes this is a very rare and amazing car if it is truly the 4.4 na engine if it was more local I would but it as a project

I have come across that 4.4 RRS - after checking ECP with its reg, it definitely is a 4.4
It seems quite a bargain. Defender 110 2.4 TDCi Utility Station Wagon.
