Hi, I have decided to sell my 2014 Discovery 4 .(Forum member since I have had the car but lurk more than post-sorry).I bought the car in March 2017 and I am the second owner. It was supplied new to an equestrian gentleman to his spec on a 30k miles per year contract hire agreement, and I bought it when the 3 years was up on 90k miles. The spec is a little unusual as it is a GS model, but was ordered with the HSE leather interior in Almond/Arabica,Style 704 wheels and detachable tow bar.Its quite a pure spec which suits the colour and the lack of adornments(no tinted glass, mud flaps or side steps)-very equestrian !
The car was as new when I bought it,and has been the best vehicle that I have ever had.It has been completely reliable, and uses no oil between services. The mileage could be considered high, but the car drives completely as it should, without any rattles or knocks or issues of any kind, and the gearbox changes seamlessly.Recent work includes :
-Rear brake discs and pads July '23 182k
-Service and Handbrake shoes Jan'23 176k
-New inlet manifold Aug 22 170k
-New front lower suspension arms May 22 169k
-Service and air and fuel filters Feb 22 165k
-New gearbox oil cooler Aug 21 159k
-Gearbox oil change June 21 156k
-New transmission control switch June 21 157k
-New Battery June 21 156k
-New intercooler June 2020 148k
Plus routine servicing and brakes/consumables etc..
Front and rear belts done Aug 2017 at 100k.
MOT'd until January 2025.
The bodywork is straight and true with no accident damage. There is the odd paint scuff but nothing more. The interior is excellent for age and miles.
Looking for £7000 ovno considering recent work done. Thanks for reading and feel free to ask any questions.
