NEW WIRING HARNESS

I have a 2005 D3 V8 and my mechanic can't sort out the electrics as the interior has water ingress which has got into the electrical system and he believes the only way to sort it, is to fit a new complete wiring harness/loom.

LR say the part is obsolete and other suppliers don't have it and can't get it. I've been in touch with a few companies who say they can make wiring harnesses, but not for this car!!!

Can anybody on here point me in the right direction?

That sounds like an expensive way to resolve things?
What electrical issues does the D3 have?
Normally water ingress first affects wiring joints in the sills, but of course other parts of the loom can be damaged as well. But with some trouble shooting of problems and the affected wires, they can be repaired by replacing damaged parts with new wiring.
If water has affected also the CJB, it can cause all sorts of issues, but those will not be resolved by a new loom anyway.

Don’t waste your money on a loom. Very unlikely to fix
