Stereo does a high pitch LOUD NOISE like an ALARM |
|
Disco 4 HSE lux, 2016
just in traffic normal commute, speakers started making loud noise as though an alarm, and I mean a loud noise, my ears are hurting.
stopped the car switched it off and back on same issue.
got the gap tool out the right rear screen has internal failure. it was not in use at the time, i have had this before. but not to cause any other issues. it sometime does not work i can t think this is the cause of the issue i had
no other issues.
switched it off locked doors sound went off
unlock doors sound playing, no adjustment of the stereo made it change audio off etc.
after a 10 minute stop the car went to sleep and now its ok on starting. i have a short video of the issue.

I had exactly the same problem on Tuesday night!
Really loud, and I mean LOUD, ear-burstingly loud. Sounded like static.
Turning the screen off completely didn’t stop it. The noise came off and on in random bursts.
I stopped the D4 in a lay-by, waited for the vehicle to completely shut down, restarted and it was ok, but I was only getting sound from one side of the stereo system.
Started up yesterday, and all was ok again.
I posted before about losing all sound from the speakers occasionally, but nobody responded.
Is there anyone on here who can thoroughly check and overhaul a D4 sound system, or please offer advice on resolving the system’s problems? I’m a Disco 4 believer. What a vehicle!

so I'm not alone in this issue and within a day or too of each other , I thought I would be!
I've no idea if this will happen again it was defiantly some sort of white noise /alarm constant sound though.
I've never had loss of sound, not sure if its linked to the rear display not working i was going to tackle that this weekend to see if its a connector issue
the thing is i was taking it to a repair shop to get some scratches out of the bumper, hopefully it will be ok
