Disco3 won't unlock with key fob and manually?

Hello all,

I have posted on here before and had some great feedback and help, and need advice again please.

I have a 2006 Disco3, and after my wife went through a flooded area visiting her mum in Scotland, the car made a strange electric sound at the back, and when going to unlock it today with the key fob and manually, the car will not unlock at all?

Has anyone heard of this before at all please, and if so do you know of this is a big and expensive job?

Thanks in advance.

Gary.

Can you get in now?

Search for “green wire splice” if the remotes don’t work

The lock on the passenger door is very stiff.
You may need to lubricate it and try again later.

If you think the car battery is flat you can charge it thru towbar white socket (where fitted)

Try the reserve remote or fit a new battery in the remote.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Batteries are soldered in.

Some ppl do rest them on a toothbrush charger, to charge them

Thanks for all the tips, I really appreciate it.

The battery had died, we got in to it and charged it, and started the car, it's been dropped off at a garage now and they should be able to assess it, after the battery was charged again, everything seemed ok.

Hopefully it was just a one off, but can't risk it happening when she's on her own away someplace with the kids...

Thanks again!!
