engine system fault - not DTC - SOLVED |
|
Since a couple of days I get the 'engine system fault' and 'no special programs available' message on the lcd screen and the car goes into limp mode of the engine (reduced power, but ride level stays high)
The issue appears at every ride, after some 10-15min driving and is not linked to braking.
I've deleted all DTC before the last drive and checked for DTC once the limp home came up. But there are none - in none of the modules.
So far I've replaced the brake light switch and all 4 brake-light bulbs. But no improvement.
I've serviced the car incl. glowplugs some 1000km before. The battery is 6month old, no-name brand, but hooked-up to a CTEKT charger if the care stays for more then 3 days. Alternator shows 14V.
The issues started to appear, when I switched a non-working brake-light bulb with the lower rear-light bulb - but with all of them changed now and not linked to braking, looks more like coincidence.
I'm planing to
- swap battery with my 2nd car
- turn-off the auto-daytime light to check if it is linked with the back-lights.
I'd appreciate any comments, on what else I could check
thanks
Ueli

Managed to fix the issue.
On one of the test-drives a DTC popped up - P132B.
The turbo actuator movement was restricted - once freed, the issue disappeared,
