Hi everyone.
First time away yesterday with our swift elegance 530 2017
Disco was ace by the way.
Anyway. Aldi glycol is a bit low what can I buy to suit. No caravan type places around.
Been battling all day to get the heating on its come on now at 17.30 yesterday was the same.
Aldi controller timers are showing different times any ideas .
Thanks

Top it up with water - making a note of the quantity used. Once you have the correct antifreeze just make up the solution to the same quantity, drain some water out and top it up with your mix.

Presuming you're not in a spot where you expect to freeze you shouldn't have any problems.

You may also need to bleed the radiators.

Isn’t it supposed to be replaced every 5 years, and as yours is 2017 model has it been done.

Good idea. Added arount 500ml and system now works.
I did have to bleed the radiator on arrival as it was a bit cold on the top.
Thank you sir Thumbs Up

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Think it was done 2 years ago.
But will get it serviced at the end of this season.
It's the first time we have used a caravan so all a bit daunting

I’ve used pink stuff from euro car parts and my buccaneer still works a treat 12 months later.

I’ve got a 2017 elegance 650 so I guess it’s got the same alde system/controller.
The tips re topping fluid are correct but not too much leave room in the header tank for expansion when hot. You’ve also got the inline circulation pump which is much quieter and more powerful than the old type which was in the header tank.
Re heating coming on at 17.30 sounds like you need to set the correct day and time in the menu options. Also tick the box to display this on the panel.
The system is brilliant once you get your head around the various settings. You can prioritise gas/electric if on hook up or select both for faster warm up on initial use. You can also select various temps at different times. For instance we set our at night after 21.00 to 14 degs in case temps drop in the night ( rarely comes on as we don’t van in winter) then at 06.30 hot water comes on and thermostat goes up to 18.00 so it’s toasty when we get up.
Position of your controller/ sensor and van layout will affect settings have a play around until you’re comfortable.
You can invert the screen display at night automatically in case it’s too bright when sleeping. Select night mode on/off as required. Etc
Have a read of the alde manual if you’ve got it. There are loads of options.
Ps we were advised not to use swift command for heating/fridge as it can cause conflicts/complications, I haven’t missed it.
Hope this helps.

Hope you’re getting sorted. The control panel I’m referring to is the Alde one, on ours it’s by the drinks cabinet (very posh!) yours maybe over the door. I’ll attach an image. The swift one controls the 12v systems, lighting, pump, tank fill etc
The Alde one controls the heating and hot water. Not really sure where the sensor is but I remember reading somewhere you can fit a remote sensor if the original one is in a poorly situated position ie a cold spot.
