are you 100% sure it's not the parking brake ? years ago, our VX Carlton would get 10 miles down the motorway before shoes had expanded enough to start braking the car ... straight after main dealer had serviced the car and adjusted the brakes. twice. Fell out with dealer shortly after 2nd time and it never happened again.

Hoses only allowing fluid one way is a possibility.
But first be sure it’s the caliper that’s hot and not the drum

Is the DSC kicking in and applying the brakes, which could be steering angle sensor?
Could try turning off DSC after starting the car and see if it makes a difference.Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

Yeah I was wondering if it had had a TRW master cyl. Or servo. But OP didn’t mention it.
Thought it would effect the front more.

Replace both the rear hoses on each side the one at the back is the one that get a hammering as it has to flex with the suspension, however it very short so can crease in the same spot.
Like Pete says one way valve presure to the pads is never released
Just because it looks good on the outside doesn't mean it's good on the inside
The other hose to the caliper doesn't move.

Don't assume that the new callipers are any good.. Have you had them back out and actually checked that they slide freely?Disco4 MY16 SDV6 Landmark Black

Agree.....
You can check if they bind without driving. Does the wheel spin when jacked up? Brake on / brake off etc?
