| Restricted performance error |

Driving for the 1st decent run after having timing belts changed and it showed up Restricted Performance. It cleared when turned off and didn't even come on with and spirited acceleration to get up to road speed to re join the carriageway. Unfortunately it did during steady cruise.
Plugged in the AP200 and the error was for an intake air leak. As a good part of the intake system was broken down to change the belts it went back to the stealers to check their work.
Now had the report back which shows "charged air shut off/recirc valve seal broken. seal not available separately, new charged air recirculation valve required"
Anyone any input on this? The car has a 3rd party warranty on it so need to go to one of their approved repairers and I want to understand a little better what the problem is. A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.
