Dometic fridge beeping ffs

Hi everyone. Just come back from cornwall with tin tent.
Disco pulled it lovely. Averaged 26mpg fully loaded.
Anyway
Our fridge keeped beeping for the whole week. Some times it would stop for hours then do it again.
Removed the door switch and tested it all ok.
Temperature of fridge was great.
Any ideas on the beeping
Thanks

Low mains power causes it to beep. I think it should operate between 200 and 240v ( but check the manual for your model)

We have seen this a few times in France with mains down to 195v, but have had it twice in the UK when being pitched at the far ends of a site.

I have a mains voltmeter fitted in our van as a quick way to see what incoming voltage is
Thumbs Up

Can you connect mains now and see if it still beeps?

We had this on our Elddis with a Dometic fridge. Did it whilst we were off grid running on gas and 12v. It was the door switch that was faulty.

It was a while ago, we were on the Isle of Islay, no mains so it was gas only. That rules out low volts! The 12v was supplying the control panel. We resorted to switching off the fridge in the evening so we could sleep. It worked fine when switched on just beeped constantly.

When we got home, took it in for a service and they changed the door latch and switch.

I must add that since then it had also needed the control panel replacing (at many £££) The old one stopped responding to selections and we couldn’t switch it off when in storage.

The dealer that we got it from said that the Dometic RM series was becoming a real PITA because of expensive parts and unreliable operations.

Hi. Yes we turned it off at night.
But like you say ran fine, sometimes it was fine for a day or 2.
Very strange.
Might cut the sounder out
