[For Sale] Discovery 3 V8 Again
Hi All
With much regret I am putting up for sale my Discovery 3, 4.4 V8.
I have included one photo and will include more in the coming days.
My reason for sale is that I have had this vehicle to use as a Land Rover should be and taken off road, towed my caravan a few times and generally had adventures. However last year I broke something in my inner ear and balance, which is still ongoing, and as such cannot put the time and effort into this vehicle that it currently needs. I genuinely thought I would have this vehicle for a lot longer and it makes me sad to be listing it.
It has an MOT running until April 24, its on 175,000 approximately and is generally as you would expect for a vehicle that has had a reasonable life. Please feel free to check its MOT history, KT05 VBD.
It does have some issues and I will be as honest as I can.
The VVT is unplugged as the clicking noise began happening on bank 2 and my intention was to replace it when I did the chains.
It needs a new exhaust sensor which is causing the engine to run rough, however when you put your foot down it roars as it should This issue happened Friday of last week.
There is a clunking in the drive line that I cannot get under to look at.
The glass roof has a crack in it.
The works have been done by myself, I have receipts for all of the parts I have used since getting it in 2017.
Obviously that’s a fair bit but in the right hands this would once again be an excellent adventure vehicle.
It comes with a roof rack, front nudge bar, rock sliders, RAI, boot tray, tow bar.
I am happy to field any questions about it.
I am looking for £2000.00 for it.
This is currently not listed anywhere else.
Happy for viewings near to the A12/M25 junction.

Hello all.
I removed this vehicle from sale as I needed it for a couple of trips away.
It was MOTd again in April and after a bit of work has run Ok until now.
In addition to the original post I now suspect that either the gearbox and or torque converter are very much on their way out.
Current mileage 182300
I am currently using this as a run about until I find something to replace it or something fails.
If there is any interest in this vehicle for spares or repairs I am open to sensible offers. I can break it myself but obviously would be easier for me to have someone else do it.
In line with forum rules this is now re listed for sale as a spares or repair listing.
Offers around £1000 considered.
