Passenger window bouncing open
Had a look through, but can't find any topics. My passenger window is very difficult to close. When it reaches the top, if you don't let go of the switch at just the right moment, it re-opens as if it has detected something trapped in it. The window itself moves smoothly and I can't hear the motor struggling at all.
Where do I start looking for a solution? Is it likely to be needing lubrication somewhere in the mechanism, or am I loking at a failing winder motor?
How is the closed point defined - is it a limit switch, or does the mechanism need recalibrating somehow?

Just checked and if the window is closed and I lift the switch, it opens the window as if something is trapped in it, so the method of holding the button up for five seconds will not work. There are two rules for success,

Hi
I thought I saw somewhere that as the window raises u place ur hand on the glass to gently slow it down as it raises
Not 100% sure if it works but wished to at least mention it just in case
Hopefully it’s useful to u

Had his issue when I fitted my wind deflector, one of the clips was in at an angle and stopped it closing fully, triggered the safety trip to re open. I’d check if you have any rubbish up in the seel and check that it haven’t come adrift, blocking the glasses travel.
Don’t forget these windows are set to stop and re-open if they hit any obstruction (kids fingers) so anything hey hit before the end of travel will cause the symptom2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

Aha! Tried the above two suggestions, but no luck. However, I thought I'd try my IID tool to see if there was anything on there. Lo and behold - Passenger Door Glass Learn.
