Troubleshooting air.con system

Evening all.
Working my way through our new to us 63 plate d4 (gs).
Aircon - is there a diagnosis strategy via GAP IID tool? Ours doesnt engage, the clutch on the compressor freewheels whether ac switched on or off. No faults present using the tool and my ac regasser chap reckons the system is holding pressure. Yes the blower is switched on.
Can rule out (i think) the switch pack as its just been replaced to add heated seat switches.
In the history it had a compressor about 15/20k miles ago.
Not sure where to begin. Lol. Thanks in advance.

There's no clutch, have you looked in "live values" to see what's happening with the system. There should be a fault code if there's a problem.

In live values it asks if clutch is engaged or not fyi.

However the system shows zero kpa pressure so I presume that would prevent the clutch engaging yet my chap reckoned it was holding pressure.

Faulty pressure sensor perhaps?

Possibly a faulty pressure sensor if you know for a fact the system is fully charged, but there is no clutch it's a permanent drive variable displacement compressor! Thumbs Up
