D3 suspension wiring

So I’ve spent quite a while trying to put together a wiring list in the hope it may help by having it all in one place , ie connector locations to save time looking for them

Will of course be adding to it and goes without question if anyone wishes to add to it or spots an error plse feel free to add or amend anything , at a later date will be adding a D4 below this one

At the end of the day I Really hope this is useful

D3 Suspension wiring

C2293/94 - C2559/60 - C2527/8

** NOTES - 3 x connectors normally behind the front N / S wheel arch liner - After 2007 moved to behind passenger side headlight

C2293/94 34 x way black connector - YPC803930 / YPC803940 /
behind front N / S wheel arch liner **

RH front height sensor
Grey & yellow 5 Vdc wire pin 1
Grey & blue signal wire pin 2
Grey & red ground wire pin 3

Compressor valve exhaust
Black & white Vdc wire pin 1
Black & blue negative wire pin 2

Compressor temperature sensor
Black & yellow signal wire pin 3
Black & green ground wire pin 4

Reservoir valve block
Black & white Vdc wire pin 8
Black - ground wire pin 9

Reservoir Pressure sensor
Yellow & black - 5Vdc supply wire pin 5
Orange & grey - signal wire pin 6
Yellow & pink - ground wire pin 7

C2559/60 grey connector - behind front N/S wheel arch liner **

LH front height sensor
slate grey & green - 5Vdc into sensor pin 7
grey & orange - signal wire back to ECM pin 8
grey & black - ground wire pin 6

LH front valve block
Black & yellow Vdc wire pin 1
black & green negative wire pin 2

front cross link valve block
Black & white Vdc wire pin 3
Black & blue negative wire pin 4


C2527/8 blue connector - behind front N/S wheel arch liner **

12vdc supply to compressor
Brown & Red Vdc wire pin 1
Black - ground wire pin 2

RH front valve block
black & purple Vdc wire pin 3
black & orange negative wire pin 4

C0377/ C0391 - YPC909660 / YPC909600 - located near compressor

Compressor motor temperature sensor
Black & orange - signal wire pin 11
Black & brown - ground wire pin 18

Earth connection behind N/S wheel arch liner are used by 3 x items
C0561 ground - for air compressor ECM
C0050 ground - Sensor-Pad wear-Front-LH
C0516 ground - Wheel speed Sensor-Front-LH

Hope it was ok but put a couple of blank spaces in so I can then add items at a later date , plus anyone can then reply easier without having to copy and paste the first post

Fingers crossed this will be handy for fault finding etc , along with where the connectors are 🤣

Can create your own PDF... on desktop click "Print this entire topic" (top right).

Then print that page to PDF with PDF printer 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
