Land Rover Discovery 3 electric seat issue
Hi everybody,
I noticed upon parking it back up that the drivers electric seat has a mind of it's own and the back rest is pushing forwards even when I'm not pressing anything on the side of the seat, essentially crushing my back. Anyone else had this issue, am I being stupid and there's an easy fix?

Hi ))
Not had any malfunctions on electric seats on 4 x discos.
But I've always felt very conscious of the FORCE which the seats can exert and the potential for injury - especially when fishing down the sides of those seats with bare hands looking for dropped objects.
I want to say this - until you find the fault, set the seats as you want them then pull the fuse/fuses for the electric operation. The potential for injury forcing your torso into the steering wheel (esp. when DRIVING !!) is horrible.
Kind wishes ))

Check the wiring under the seat. I had that sort of thing happening on the D3 that I had. It also affected the door mirror. The wiring was so tight that it rubbed against something (can’t remember whether it was the seat or a bit of trim at the side) and eventually chafed, causing a ‘short’.

Sounds like it is a position memory fault. Try setting the seat and mirrors to where you want and storing that setup into memory1. Then set up a new setting to store in memory 2, then select between the two.A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.
