Gearbox/Engine Hunting

Hi Everyone,

I'm new on here and maybe covering old ground but can I ask for your help please.
My 2008 D3 seams to be having a little melt down, when cold it drivers fine when the temp gauge gets up to about a 1/4 (warm) the problem seams to happen.
Driving along happy no lights on dash between 2000rpm and 2500rpm it seams to throw its self in and out of gear or if you like changing up and down briefly, almost as if you are using the kick down but I'm not.
I have plug in my laptop with WOW on it and no faults so I' guessing its mechanical?

I'd be grateful for any ideas and help.

Sorry if this has been spoken about before and TIA

I haven’t got an idea what WOW is but usually transmission related problems do show up as fault codes. Perhaps try a better (more LR specific?) code reader first?

But if I had to guess blindly…. Torque converter is about to check out. Whistle

Have you checked the level of oil in the gearbox and does it smell burnt?
