Smart key battery life
How long does the D4 smart key last with a new battery?
I would assume due to the keyless entry it's in someway on all the time unlike the D3

All batteries are not the same…. and watch for the shelf life and manufacturing date.

D3's key is rechargeable, and is charged when in the ignition. D4 key has a cell which is being used until its flat.Richard
