Air Suspension pump doesn't turn off

Hi, air suspension pump works and lifts the car in all modes, the problem i have is that it doesn't turn off automatically but only when I presume the heat sensor switches it off and a fault is thrown up on the dash.
Any suggestions on how to fix this please?

Sounds like either a faulty relay or reservoir pressure sensor but diagnostic codes should confirm this.

If the compressor is allowed to run to the point of overheating it risks serious damage.

Or a tank leak? Does the car stay up overnight?

The car stays up for at least 2-3 days.

I would suggest you have a leak, even if that's not the actual issue with the pump. The car should stay at height for much longer than 3 days if there were no leaks.

If it was an air leak alone causing the compressor to overrun the control module should intercept this before it overheats and turn it off. Typically throwing this code or similar, (C1A20 pressure increase to slow to fill reservoir)
That said there clearly is an leak if the car sinks after a few days, if the leak is bad enough you are sometimes able to hear it once you get close to the reservoir or faulty component. So have the fault codes read and go from there, otherwise it's just tail chasing! Thumbs Up

Could you please tell me where the reservoir pressure sensor is located?

It's in the reservoir valve block just forward of the compressor inside the compressor cover. BUT, you need to have the codes read in order to diagnose the problem correctly. There are too many components/possibilities and you'll be going around in circles without them.

You seem to have issues with either the reservoir pressure sensor, the wiring to it, and or the reservoir valve block itself. (C1A08 / C1A09 / C1A20)

Unless the compressor has been serviced recently (drier) it's possible there are issues with that too, (C1131/C1A20/C1A10) as well as the valve blocks if the suspension is dropping. Air bags do leak if they're old but I would suggest you concentrate on checking/servicing the compressor, reservoir valve block, wiring, pipework, and the reservoir tank.

There is a great deal written by members on here with regard to these problems, and if you use the search function above you can access these.

You will need your own diagnostic tool so you can monitor what's happening in real time and clear faults, if not it can be very challenging to pin down the origin of faults.
