Gearbox woes

Hi all,

Had the dreaded 'transmission fault, limited gears available' 'special program disabled' fault flash the other day.

Had the codes read and they were the following:
P0730-00 - incorrect gear ratio
P0735-00 incorrect 5th ratio
P0729-00 incorrect 6th ratio
P0731-00 incorrect 1st ratio
P0736-00 incorrect reverse ratio

The car went into limp and couldn't clear by restarting. Had the codes cleared by a friend and I had 1 'transmission fault' error but no limp.
Now what I change between drive and reverse I can get the fault to appear.

About a year ago the E-clutch was replaced.

Ive had the earth strap checked and when I looked at the voltage whilst running (using a multimeter) it was 13.5-13.8.

Has this box catastrophically failed, or is the fact that they all appeared at once more indicative of an electrical fault?

I'm based in Sheffield so any suggestions for a specialist would be helpful. Gave strong money for it only 13 months ago and with it having gearbox work done I thought it might be ok.... rookie error.

With so many gear faults maybe worth checking the oil level.
It’s done with engine running.

Or maybe a solonoid fault that those gears rely on

Most of those can be caused by failing solenoids and or lack of fluid pressure.

Had the solenoids replaced yesterday. Mechanic reported burnt oil and a lot of swarf and so wasn't hopeful that it had solved the problem. Previous ownder told me that the trans was rebuilt twice and the person that rebuilt it said it would outlive the car Laughing

Anyway today, when using the kick down on a hill the 'F' came back -so now I'm out of ideas.... Think it's time to send it for breaking? Don't fancy throwing more money at it.

Any thoughts as to what else it could be?

I would have thought the engine was quite valuable?

So don't get rid for less than £800 complete ?

Cant have been a good job on the rebuild or they skimped out, likely burnt friction rings or converter.

Mine throws codes incorrect gear/fifth gear when towing the van, twice the other day on way down to Cornwall, faultless rest of the time been like it 4 years and I only tow once a year.

I really struggle with the cost of a rebuild, would love to but!!!!

Been quoted between 1700 and 2500 + vat for a full rebuild from a reputable place. Problem is i'm so deep in now it's worth no where near what I've dropped on it.

Is it worth swapping the brake light switch just in case? Clutching at straws here
