No volume from radio
Hi Folks, I have a strange one here. I was heading to work listening to the radio and then all of a sudden the volume died. I can use the controlls to put the volume level up and down but there is no volumje. I have after market pti kit fitted and tried to make a call to see if i could here any volume...nope same. I tried switching off the engine restarting nope same. I think around about the same time i got a text but i cannot be 100 % sure. Could this be a setting / mixup with the bluetoot? Help car will be too quiet and I will end up listening to the wife.

I've had this a couple of times, tried switching off radio, switching off ignition, didn't work still no sound, what I have found is try changing the mode, eg, if listening to CD, select radio or vice versa, it works on mine.I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Fair few instances of this on the forum. Some have had a new head unit under warranty to fix. I'm just unlucky 2 new amps and a new head unit and it still does it but less often. LR technical told the dealers to check the wiring in one of the doors as a known earth from a speaker wire can cause this too
Good luck !"To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Thats interesting as the front passenger speaker on my D3 goes quiet on it's own, turning the volume dial up makes it work again - sort of like it needs a boost of power
Technical support told the dealer passenger door - that didn't work so they looked in the other one too "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."
sounds like new head unit req. I'm on my 3rd believe it or not. If it was not under warranty, I'd be .2006 D3 Tonga Green

Yep I have had that loads on my 1st D3 - 4 replacement units under warranty and present D3 has had 2 replacements!!!.
Sometimes if software updates have been loaded it messes with the units brain.
Same thing happened to me y'day, no sound from anything. In the end I turned the ignition off and re-started and all was ok. I hope I'm not going to continually have this issue.
Both front door speakers have a mind of their own, a sharp tap on the door solves the problem. My local dealer is supposed to have fixed the problem more profesionally.

I've got exactly this as well ..
Booked in , but difficult to explain without the hard evidence.
How common in this one ?? Is there a TSP (is that correct ?? ) aout for this ?..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........
