Juddering
Recently started experiencing juddering as accelerating past about 30MPH road speed. Goes off quickly. No fault messages. It is something similar to what I used to get on the old Jag X-type when it needed a new flywheel. Is this a known fault, indicator of something going on in the drive train, or impending doom?
The vehicle is an 07 D3 HSE L Auto on 150K. Everything is standard apart from some D4 facelift lighting mods.
Any response greatly appreciated.

No expert but have put diagnostics on it, could need gearbox service ?

No fault messages other than the usual nuisance ones.

My 4-wheel drive specialists (all ex-LR dealership techs) phone diagnosis was transmission oil change @£480 cures it 90% of the time. An expensive punt, but probably should have that done anyway. I've had the car 10 years, but only done about 10K of the 150K in that time. No idea whether it's ever had a transmission fluid change before... Thoughts anyone?

Lost any wheel balancing weights?
GB oil should be flushed at 150k miles even if it has been changed earlier, although that is unlikely to cause vibration but may cause gears to slip.It can when others can't,

Check propshaft centre bearing rubber Bush. Its under the Heat shield.
Also, at that mileage and depending on use, you may find that the Torque converter/gearbox is starting to show its age. The judder is a known symptoms.
To buy you time, some have had good results from two tubes of Dr Tranny gearbox additive.2011 MY D4 HSE

Is that the price for gearbox, transfer box and diffs?
From memory... A gearbox flush was about half that 18 moths ago (approx)

If you find it to be the gearbox, my opinion is the only way to go is a recon unit and to service it moving forward.
Megaflush costs a small fortune, some say it solves the problem but imo you're just kicking the problem down the road and wasting money you could be putting towards a replacement unit.
Your gearbox is likely 2.5 times overdue and oil change (60k interval).
My recommendation is Bristol Transmissions.

The gearbox needs an oil change and some tranny guard adding, just done mine it’s smooth as silk again. You can get the modified filter kit to make the job easy.
