Amber Park Brake light Fault code C1A48

Hi guys,

I've got the dreaded Amber Park Brake light, Fault code C1A48.

This light is on permanent, even when I reset the faults.
It doesn't seem to be the XY problem, as my gear selection is shown on the dash and reverse lights are working.
I've read about, a worn through wire on the NSF wheel arch, as anyone come across this?

Any ideas would be great.

C1A48 - Warning lamp circuit, signal lamp connection failure

Probably a wiring issue at the back end of the chassis loom

Thumbs Up

Hi,

I've developed the same fault;
- "Parking Brake Fault" warning on startup
- Amber park light on permanently
- Fault code on my Hawkeye is C1A48 (which won't clear)

Everything else works fine;
- Gear selection displayed
- Parking brake releases
- Auto release works fine

I've had the rear nearside wheel off and checked over the wiring loom connectors - but can't see any wiring damage.
(There are two connector blocks; black and grey - not sure which one is the loom that carries the EPB wiring)

I've also tried disconnecting the battery and letting it drain for several minutes, to no avail.

Any advice on where to go next?

Thanks!

Hello, good morning MIKEY, could you tell me how you solved the problem? What connector are we talking about in the gray or black wheel arch and what pin is the one that caused the problem, thank you.
