RRS v FFRR v D3 are the wheels all the same ? |
|
The FFRR 19" Vogue alloys do look "the dogs" on the D3
My RRS now needs a new set of Tyres (the Pirelli Ice & Snow coming off for summer and I can't face putting the Conti's back on - worst set of tyres ever made IMHO). So I thought I would buy a matching set of FFRR 19" Vogues to slap on the RRS. But over on RRSport.co.uk they figure the offset is different so this would be a "bad ass idea". Is this the case ? And if it is - does it matter ?
I know the load factor on the D3 and FFRR is the same (111) and higher than a RRS (109), but I figure that wouldn't be a bad thing ? Disco 4 TDV6HSE

All the 19's and 20's I've seen for RR, D3 and RRS have been 53mm offset. 17's and 18's may be different.
With regard to alloy wieght rating (not tyre), RRS alloys tend to be 900kg, D3's 940Kg. Not sure about FFRR.

A few of us (me included) are running RRS 19's, and these are rated at 900kg, with no problems.
