Anyone located where this seems to commonly break on D3?

Have you checked it with a meter? What end did you try?
I know there is a 4? Pin connector under the drivers seat. Door end.
This may just route it to the sat nav though. Can’t remember

I dont have media unit / nav in my car, but i just checked and by the drivers feet there is a spare connector? i cant make out where this would be on the diagrams.
It has continuity back to the head unit.
The head unit has no continuity to the microphone connector...
Must be a break at the junction (Blue circled), or these diagrams dont relate to my build, there is no plug between the junction and the media unit on the diagrams.

I’d say as you don’t have nav the wiring is missing.
I think you need to run the wiring up the drivers A pillar.
Look out for the red black wiring in the A pillar. See if it’s there.

It appears that connector is C2247 on those diagrams, the first connector after the head unit.
As the opposing plug C2249 is not there, there is no wiring in place on my car, it would seem.
So with the highlight Yellow not there, i wonder if i can find the connectors circled to link into, save running all the way into the roof if so...

Can anyone point me towards: C0610, C0084, C0891, C0395 to check?New Engine - Fitted with body on...

I’ve already said C0395 and it’s pair is under the drivers seat and given a diagram and circle above
Probably non existent on yours as no sat nav loom
EDIT:
I found C2247.
Seams to be a connection between the dash loom and the ICE/NAV loom.
Provides power from CJB and wiring to the LCD display on the dash (Nav audio and TS private CAN to Nav)
Pin 1 brown wire would be a useful point to power a D4 Bluetooth module from. (fused from fuse 57 IIRC)
Pinout.
1 RSE brown ICE powered up
2 Ground LCD_TS black
3 +12v TMC red (and factory phone probably)
4,5 Touch screen private CAN for NAV commands green/yellow
7,8,9 Nav Audio green/yellow
10 ICE powered up blue
12 +12v high current for headunit, NavDVD, LCD Purple/blue
14,15,16 Microphone red, black

Solved. So on my "S" model car, with no Nav.
The microphone is wired down to the C0981 under the seat.
Head unit is wired down to the C2247 by drivers feet.
Need to connect them for Mic to work....

Discostick; I’m going through exactly the same thing in my S with no nav so I’m assuming the same link needs installed.
Was about to start ripping out connectors to install a whole new cable from the head unit the microphone until I found your post…
Can you describe how you put the link in?'06 D3 TDV6 S Cairns Blue

Can you circle the connector - I can't find which one I'm looking for, and it's not listed on the diagram from the D4...?'06 D3 TDV6 S Cairns Blue
