Mountains of Mourne
Does anyone on here know the Mournes ? I am meeting some pals there with our kids to camp, hike, swim etc in the area over the bank hol weekend. I have never been (we usually do this annual get together in The Lakes or Scotland) and getting there from Northumberland is a bit long winded and expensive (looks like Cairnryan to Larne on the Express service at £265 return - 1 hour each way) and then camping at Bloody Bridge camp site. Is this a "good place" and the best way to get there ?Disco 4 TDV6HSE

Big thumbs up for the Mournes from me. Lovely part of the world. I don't know the campsite but the area is great. Strong recommend for seafood in Dundrum, the big sandy beach at Tyrella, mountain biking in Tullymore forest park and the walk up Slieve Donard from the Slieve Donard hotel in Newcastle.VIN: A175A328***
