Just got mine back from the dealer after shearing one off..............
hmmm, obviously don't know my own strength............not hugely handy if you were changing a puncture at the side of the road though...... end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

First thing I did was get rid they are a waste of time and no more a deterrent than a paper clip
Best anti theft device is a Kwik Fit Fitter Impact gun turned up to max

I think you might be right Ken, no locking wheel nuts when using off road tyres........problem looks like it may have been grit down inside the nut aperture caused it misseat, so it deformed (using LR supplied wrench) and hence sheared the anti tamper connection, all within a nano second............
Anyway with the hassle jacking these vehicles surely wheel theft is not that common???...is it???...much easier to raid DSLs shed end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......
