I have a Disco3 TDV6-7 seat base model. Can the dealer set the auto door speed lock function, the manual seems to suggest yes but my dealer says no, not on this model.

Hi lr1, Speed related locking can be set up by the Dealer, if you have No Settings menu, had it done on mine, after a road rage incident. feel much safer now.

Correct, and you can also have them change other settings, such as Temp in F or C, etc. The dealer is not well informed.......but that appears to be a regular issue.

Thanks for the information.
I told my dealer that I had it from a reliable source that the auto door speed locking could be dealer set for my vehicle. They said they would make further enquiries, having told me in the first instance it was not possible on the base 7 seater.
It is now set, I resisted saying 'I told you so.'

The dealer did it, so that is good.

As it turned out it was not a simple task.
I left the car in to have the seat height adjuster replaced and the auto door locking set. When I rang to see when my car would be ready for collection they said that so far the technicians had spent 3 hours trying to re-load the ECU data after setting the auto door lock using the T4 software.
Apparently the early ECU units can be tempermental. They needed to keep the car overnight but they got it sorted the next morning.
It was worth the wait.

I nicknamed my car Microsoft, stop switch off and reboot then all will be OK. The same applies for resets at the dealers.
