I have a puncture right on the edge of one of the rear tyres, thus it needs replacing, thankfully having done 18,000 miles, it was due to be replaced soon anyhow.
Now my tyre place quoted £211 and as both rears need replacing I was glad that they did not have them in stock.
A search on the internet came up with MyTyres.co.uk who are asking £136 inc P&P for the same tyres, Pirelli Scorpion Zeros, and they'll deliver them to a tyre fitters just around the corner, who in turn will charge £15 per tyre to balance and fit.
I have just walked round to the fitter's garage, who seems like a nice bloke, but they can only get down to £188 inc fitting but are happy to fit the internet tyre for the price quoted.
Is this too good to be true? I have just ordered so I hope so.

Here is answer, not bad at all
The best fitted and balanced price for four General AT2's 255/60x18 is £512.30 inc VAT, or mail order the price will be £465.30 inc VAT plus carriage.
£128 each...
That is nearly the best price I have seen.
As a site sponsor, for a couple of pounds difference I will still go to him.

I would, but they don't appear to do Pirellis and I don't want to mix tyres. I'll check them out if I am thinking of changing all 4 tho'. Ta.

You need to try Blackcircles.com I have used them for tyres on my D2 and D3, with 275 45 20 General Grabbers coming in at £115 fitted - best Quick Fit could do was £145 after much haggling.
I think they are hard to beat.

I have always found http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m26b0s481p0 to be the cheapest. Used to use mytyres but ended up using camskill.

Thats great and about what my tyre place was charging for 2 Pirellis. What are the AT2s like as they look very off road so are they not so smooth at 80 on the tarmac?

Am at home with no price list but I think my price for 255/60x18 Scorpions fitted before the June price rise is £135.12 inc VAT, THIS A "FITTED" PRICE NOT JUST MAIL ORDER. 
Goodyear Wrangler HP AW 255/60x18 in stock also at £122.20 inc VAT "fitted".
My prices change all the time it depends where we buy from so it's always best to call for the best price, I will always pass on the discounts, i.e. if the price to me drops a tenner per tyre I will drop the price to the end user.

I bought a set of winter tyres for the RS4 from Mytyres.co.uk
Turned up via courier sooner than quoted. Was impressed with the service top be honest. I would support site sponsers, but its a long way to go to have some tyres fitted!

Mine were £100 each all in - and that's for 295/45/20 with a 114XL load rating.
But that might be my special price only.
