Not seen this before, but for slow manoeuvring in low ratio with a heavy trailer on, I change the TR mode to give me a more forgiving throttle response. I saw the nice message "trailer connected, off-road height not automatically connected" (or something along the lines of that) when I changed the other day - not spotted it before.

Just means that your car 'knows' it has a towbar fitted. Most of the D3's which have had a cheaper (ebay) towbar fitted haven't paid the stealer to update the computer with this info. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

The D3 will not automagically raise to off road height... you need to manually do it.
