Is my CD Player Knackered ???
Due to low battery power when I lost the Power Steering/Alternator belt, my electrics were going haywire.
My CD player sounded as if it were shuffling the CD's.
Anyway, D3 now out garage with 'belt problem' solved.
But, my CD unit is now inoperative and appears frozen, with the words 'ejecting' on the screen, but nothing happens no matter what CD buttons I press!
Radio still works ok.
Any idea what's wrong?
Has the mechanism motor packed in?
How can I get the 6 x CD's out?
Anyone experience this??
Anyone any ideas???...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Had this problem about 6 months ago Ron.
It was easy to solve even though the stealer told me it would have to be sent away.
Two ways to do it are :
1. Locate fuse for infotainment system and remove for a couple of minutes, then replace it.
or
2. Disconnect the battery positive and leave for a couple of mins then reconnect, my unit then started making a rebooting whirring type noise and all worked fine again. No problems since then.
Give it a go, it worked for me.
I used method 2, you do have to reset the seat memory etc. after this.
Good luck

if still under warranty, just give your stealer a big list of problems with your stereo and they will probably just replace the whole unit rather than looking in to it ......
mind was displaying ' cd player over heating' and they just chucked a new one in.. easy

Did the Fuse method and it worked
Excellent stuff & thanks for the tip.
That's the thing about this site, collectively, we the owners know far more about the D3 than the dealers!!

Now go and chuck away all those CDs & get yourself an iPod!!! No chance it can get stuck anywhere unless you sit on it!
