Hi All
I'm new to this forum and have got a fantastic new Disco 3. Unfortunately, my beast has been vandalised already and the spare wheel has been sawed off. Been to Landrover who have said it will cost £600 to replace. It's 19" alloy. Anyone got any ideas on how to get this much cheaper???
I'm gutted it's been damaged - only had it 3 months.
Try eBay, or maybe someone on here might have on available!
EDIT-Also, will the jack for that spare wheel not need replacing as well?Ben

Thanks for the response. Anyone got a spare 'spare' for sale?????
Also, has anyone got any ideas how to fix on the spare tyer on better than the flimsy cable it was sold with? I'm not keen to spend £600 to have it nicked all over again!
What have you Disco diva's done to protect your £600! Any ideas on what we can do to protect the wheels?
By the way, even though the car has been abused by an un-known, the car ROCKS.

Pventon, welcome to the club ( that is the 2on the lookout for a spare 19" to replace the one that got nicked") club !!!. Was just not quick enough the other week when there were some single wheels on ebay, now there are only sets, drop me a PM if you want we can try and organise a "mini group buy" of a set of four, anyone else looking for a spare ?.

Davro - just sent you a PM - definately interested in that.
I'm sure that there is a better way of securing, but I think you will need the LR jack/cable for securing it too.
Might be worth just putting your car into access height to make access to the spare harder!
EDIT-Now that I think about it, I think stuff like this is kept secret so that people can read it and then know how to take someone's spare wheel off! I'm sure that now you have asked someone will PM you some details to keep information like this safe!Ben

My dealer said alot of their customers who have lost them don't even bother to put the replacement on, they keep the spare in the Garage !!!.

considered that. If I break down I can have Landrover tow me home and replace the tyer at the same time.
