Silencing Satnav Audio Mute

Does anyone know whether there is a way of stopping the standard (SE) satnav from muting the stereo before bonging and shouting its instructions?

It drives me mad.

Cheers,

Mac

The premium system doesn't actually mute the radio, it keeps playing through the back speakers on mine.

Adjusting the volume during satnav voice adjusts the satnav volume on our RRS so assume the same but I haven't found any way to make it mix the satnav and stereo as my Alpine does.... Rolling Eyes

Check you haven't got the speaker balance set to ONLY front speakers. Otherwise it just turns down the sound on the front speakers & then satnav instructions through the fron speakers. Passenger headphone sockets don't hear the satnav. Thumbs Up

Thanks all,

I'll have a play with the fader. might make it a little less annoying than it is now.

I often use a portable Tom Tom as SWMBO can set it whilst I'm driving and its easier to set up than the Landy satnav.
