I'm looking at installing a Parrott 3100 bluetooth car kit in the D3.
I've done a search on the forum and found some comments going back a while with some members looking at installing this kit. From some comments, perhaps the seperate speaker may be the way to go rather then using the stereo? (I have the base stereo installed)
I would appreciate any feedback/comments.
Also, has anyone used the Nokia 6820 with the Parrot?

Hi, I have the 3100 fitted in my car with the base radio, and it can't be used the same as the higher radio models, the volume is not controlled through the stereo, as the base model does not support the phone input. The lead to connect it to the radio is different from the higher spec radios and can be purchased from here: http://www.siocommunications.co.uk/Shoppin...ct=SOT-082
This lead is for the Jaguar S & X Type, but is the same as the base Disco 3 radio.
The system works very well, the radio mutes, and sound comes through the speakers, have had mine fitted now for just over a year without a single problem.
wardpg & leighmartin - thanks for your comments. The parrot seems to be the way to go.'11 TDV6 - Stornoway Grey.... still lovin' it!!

I have a parrot 3200ls fitted and its great small LCD screen fitted just below the air bag off indicator light next to the sound system. HSE TDV6 Silver : "Avin it large"
I'm in the process of fitting the CK3100 to the base stereo (CD400) and the Parrot instructions have numerous references to the mute input for the stereo. As far as I can tell there is no mute input on the CD400? I'm using the SOT-082 leads, which connect between the vehicle loom and stereo head unit - am I right in assuming the CK3100 does all the mute functions by isolating the speakers from the stereo during a call, and connecting the phone audio to the front speakers? I believe the leads needed to get the CK3100 working with the base radio are different to the set up needed with the high line audio system? Parrot's instructions aren't too good!Previously:

Yes...you're right
PS. If you look at leighmartin's post three posts before yours....he confirms everything
I have the 3200LS installed and it's the same...no phone mute lead (I also have the base stereo), but the Parrot mutes all speakers and outputs the telephone sound instead. Not sure if it only outputs to the front speakers or all of them...2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG
