dealer can enable, you need the high ice with steering wheel audio controls (factory fitted) to change it yourself.

Yes, auto locking can be set on the base model. I had it done to mine even thought the dealer said, at first, it could not be done. So, do not take no for an answer.
The dealer sets it using their plug in computer.

Doors can be set to lock at,I think 8km/hr .
Then can be manually unlocked as required( when you exit)
Holden Berlina and upwards have this feature, sometimes they lock when D is selected.
Saves having to use the dash button all the time, but not for "metric drivers" of LR D3 !

I've never understood why you would want to automatically lock the car doors while driving? Maybe in LA with car jacking rife - but here?
Why?

My nephew was car-jacked in Liverpool......Mini Cooper recovered in Manchester.
I've had youths try the door "in traffic" in Chester on a Europecar Golf rental 3 years ago.
Always lock the door before even putting the key in the ignition or belting up !
It's not a nice world out there Simon

Me too!!
I know of a few people who have had their doors opened whilst waiting in traffic... It's not worth taking a chance, especially in a big city... Things maybe different in Oz though. As you slide down the banister of life

Well, things change now in Perth. Hi-Jacking is a common problem now for Perth. Ask around Perth guy there is one lady been Hi-jack and demand for money last 2 weeks in Carousel shopping centre. It is very dangerous to drive at night especially stop at the traffic light.
If we have that function ready why not enable it. It can save your life and the car.
