New Rack, Headlights ect

Having a new steering rack fitted today along with:- 2 new headlights as mine have fogged up, PDC looked at as it works intermittently, the handle/release leaver for the retractable cover in the boot is broken and a fix for the hot foot syndrome.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Can you get as much detail as possible on the hot foot fix, my dealer claims that it's normal (as do Land Rover apparently) so I need to be able to put them right

Cheers

Will do. They sorted it for me last year, it returned to the hot foot setting when the compressor was changed last month. I should collect my car tomorrow I will get as much info as I can and pass it on.

Must say the hot foot syndrome is not right, but I quite like it as it is the gas pedal foot and that can't be moved so easily where the other can. The repair is to bend the flap a little with a soldering iron I think.

The fix will be to the reprogram the HEVAC ECU so it will blow warm air out of the higher vents too when set on automatic. It manages to do it fine with cold air!

Yes, but thete is another physical fix to maintain the lower heat, but redirect the air slightly.

The Fix still allows warm/hot air to the lower vents if required it does not stop the warm/hot air totally.

Steering Rack Replacement

Can you provide any more info on your steering problems? I notice play in my steering and had it in the dealership for a check, but they say everything is normal. I only notice the play at low speed. I have a 2005 LR3 HSE7.

Thanks,

Had the rack changed which made a difference but still getting a rattly knock. The dealer has now ordered a new anti roll bar.
