Radio function of ICE unit not working

Anyone know why the radio function would not work when the CD side of things are OK ? If I select an FM station there is no sound at all, nothing. No static hiss, nowt. Any ideas ?

hmmm, not even a hiss....?

When my radio went quiet I had knocked off the aerial in the nearside boot area locker (I have towbar, spare oil, screenwash etc. in there) . Reconnected it and all ok again.

Stopped at garage to get some diesel, radio was playing, came back after paying, started car, radio not playing. Big Cry Went and checked that Spotter, but the only cable I could see was a green multi plug connecter with about 8 or 10 wires in it hanging loose, but there was no where to connect it to (probably for something I dont have fitted, rear air con perhaps) Anyway went and put the key in ignition and radio playing perfectley Shocked Will get it checked when in at Lakelands for service at end of August.

Thumbs Up

sounds like character to me Wink

The aerial is up and forward in that locker, I obviously hooked it when taking something in or out.

Spotter, are you sure the aeriel wire is in there ? I have just been out again to try and find it (I must have looked like a vet giving a cow an internal examination Embarassed ) but there are no wires in there, except the one green multi pin connecter with 7 wires that is not attatched to anything.

No matter the radio is still working, Very Happy ,but will ask for it to be looked at next month anyway.

was on mine Embarassed ...little conector basically at approx the middle of the bottom of the nearside C/D pillar window........where I believe the aerial is. DIdn't measure it and it needed abit of arm wiggling but is was reasonably obvious to feel if not the eye.

you are making me doubt now, may have been fluke my radio worked again after putting this wire back on Whistle

I'll try and have a look tonight
