Probably a one year old TDV6 HSE or hold onto the current one and add some more goodies.
Can't se anything else coming up that looks as good.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

D3 V8 - drove one today - eish........... the power and sound . My experience with the TDV6 is that the engine is too fickle for Africa conditions

Something with a TDV8 in a couple of years. Had a drive of RRS TDV8 on the weekend, love the torque.06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.

Crossed my mind too. I may look at an E280CDI or a 530D. But I'll also look at another D3 and weigh it up.Have a nice day!

Another D3, but this time the V8 S as per Deon and Tiaan - and for the same reasons.
When I got mine back after a month, I had forgotten how wonderful this vehicle is and how much I had missed it. The SWMBO couldn't understand why I was so happy again.
My only problems have all been to do with diesel and the V8 would correct any of those concerns.

I have a V8 S, and I havent had any problems with it...
The fuel consumption isnt that bad either (Depends on your driving). I generally get 10-11 litres per 100km on the long drive. Town driving can get really scary if you have a heavy foot.
Tried to sell it a few times but on the way to the dealership I changed my mind, the feel of it is simply amazing (Power, Smooth Drive, Off Road capabilities, and the list goes on)
You really appreciate it after you drive a rental Polo for 300km and then get in the Disco (I think AVIS should rent Disco's).
