My warranty runs out on the 19th December and I thought it started at the same time as the car was first registered, but when I checked the log book mine was registered with the DVLA 10 days earlier than that. So I had to get a MOT done pretty quickly by the 8th. Took it into Guy Salmon my local dealer and they did the MOT and lent me a Freelander 2. Unfortunately it failed on a upper suspension arm ball joint being excessively worn, plus advisories on "steering being tight", "slight play on the offside steering" and "slight movement in the rear bushes". Anyway they kept the car and ordered the parts and I collected yesterday evening all fixed (not entirely sure what was replaced).
Was a great service, they even put on the bit of trim for me, which broke off at the Salisbury event and gave me some chocolates for the wife.
The bill for eveything including the MOT and trim was £33.78
Great service

Canny grumble at that can you. New mot and parts replaced. Even LR branded choccys are worth more than that

Great service again from GS Portsmouth... Have just done 45k service + brake fluid change at a good price (negotiated) and all the waranty bits I asked for plus a few more they came across during the service. Freelander 2 loaner for 3 days which was fine and a phone call each day with progress.
Why can't they all be like this, it seemed quite easy, and presumably far less hassle for them! Off Roading is OK.... But I'd rather be Boating!

More great service from GS Portsmouth. Siezed rear brake caliper on Friday... All replaced with disc & pads by lunchtime today. Loaner from LRA over weekend. All covered by w'tee. How it should be yet again. Off Roading is OK.... But I'd rather be Boating!
