Very easy ..pull off the surround around the stereo ..grab it at the bottom and pull hard towards the gear stick .
it will look like this
Once thats removed ..remove the switch panel (with the hazzard light in it ) this is held on by 2 x torx screws and undo the green plug
Then remove the 4 torx screws holding the stereo in place .Disconnect the connectors and ariel
They plugs just unclip ...
Then remove and refit the new one G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

some of the early radio's are coded to the veh via the network that connects them all together, if the correct code is not seen when the network starts then the system willl not work

Wow. I'm glad I did't know this before. I've just installed an Alpine IVA W505-R into my -04 SE (which still starts and runs ) Had some difficulty in getting the 2-din trim frame, but now it's installed and looks nice even though the black color required some getting used to. I'll post pictures as soon as I get my camera's batteries charged.
The rest of the system will consist of Genesis gear: Profile Four amplifier, Profile 16 speakers (already installed) and a Audiophile 30 subwoofer. And an 8" roof monitor - for the kids, of course... The sub will go the the left hand side panel in the trunk (7-seater, so no space underneath the floor..)
