I've seen some pictures of the maps in the navigation screen with contour lines displayed to give you the lay-of-the-land, so to speak. And this is off the LR web-site.
Satellite navigation with contour mapping
LR3 HSE features our next generation satellite navigation system as standard. Information is displayed via a high-resolution, 7-inch LCD wide-screen display, with just two buttons giving access to every feature. It´s the first satellite system to include off-road navigation, with contour lines and Waymarking to guide you home if you lose your bearings. And because our system is DVD based, data for the whole of Europe can be loaded from a single disc.
I haven't seen this in the real world, however.
Is it a function of the map/CD-ROM and only available for certain areas that have digital elevation data or have I not found the right button yet?
