Noise when immediately after engine starting, poss ignition
Noticed this today for the first time, cold outside, turn the engine over after the glow light goes out, the engine starts but then its sound as if the ignition is turning over for just a nano second or two.... seems to behave itself when the engine is warm/hot!
Going in to Nicks place in around 2k miles, just some thoughts on what the tech should be looking at?

They all make a fairly loud 'click' immediately after startup. I dont know exactly what it is though.

Hence the reason why I'm coming that way with it.... someone's christmas present apparently, got to be there at a certain time, then its got to be locked away in a garage until christmas day

hey gareth, just been looking at some postings about FBH, given that this noise has only been noticeable when starting in these past few very cold mornings, and I've been out early for some of em, do you recon its the FBH starting up as part of the ignition cycle ?

No, the FBH takes about 30 seconds to wake up after starting. Then it roars away like a good un' 8) You need to have the bonnet open immediately after startup to hear the full effect. A bit like an old De Havilland Vampire firing up, plenty of smoke and not much thrust for a few moments.
