Fitted Sunshades on Ebay
For those lesser mortals like me without privacy glass who may have seen the fitted shades available recently on Ebay - I can tell you that they are well worth it - mine arrived this morning - really easy to fit and remove - very well made and perfect fit - I paid £55.00 - saved £400+ on having tints done professionally - hope to get some pics on soon.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I've seen these on ebay but as an experiment I tried some Mothercare black net sun shades that attach via suction sticker. Not that that I was planning on using permenantly but I wanted to see the effect.
Result - works well from the inside but doesn't look anything like tints from the oustside, and doesn't look nearly as dark as the surround to the very rear side windows.
Are the ebay ones good enough to mistake for real tints ?

Hi irf - there are different levels of tint as you know but I can assure you they do a very good job - people who work for me were commenting on how nice it looks now I've had the tints done and couldn't believe it when I showed them the shades - no suction cups either - the fit is superb- as soon as I can get some photos you can make a judgement - in the meantime there are some photos on the items available on ebay at the moment I think.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Pictures look good but how do they fit them?
Is it just a friction fit or do you need to screw something to the frames?

The rear port windows are friction fit - rear passenger door windows have 2 sturdy retaining 3M clips that are stuck at recommended places - same with the rear hatch window this comes in 2 sections both are 2 x 3M clip retained. No drilling required - easier to fit and remove than taking a bath - cleaning therefore simple too !21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
