the RRS 19's/MTR's are ON!!! - the report.
Fitted the RRS 19's/MTR's this morning.
Had a drive around the North York Moors this afternoon.
Yes, they are noisy, but not as bad as the STT's
[swmbo was in car, and even though she knew I changed the wheels, she didn't say anything about the noise.]
They felt firmly planted and the noise was purposeful, braking was better than expected.
It was also good in the corners.
I backed out of quick bends on the STT's, they wallowed and I didn't feel confident in that situation.
So far so good.
At this moment I'm even contemplating running them all year round and ditching the Stormers.
Only thing is, they don't fill out the arches like my Stormers do, that'll take some getting used to.
BUT
I'm up the North East tomorrow and ending up in Perth [Scotland] tomorrow evening.
So they'll get some long running and plenty of motorway use.
So next report when I return.
[then it'll be the 17" 'pram' wheels with BFG's turn]

hi ronp
welcome to the mtr club
best thing i ever did changing to mine.much better than cooper stt's
mtr built and designed the same as run flat tyres as on bmw's so the strong side walls are certainly there.
now you just need a nice set of black alloys to match[done that too]
dunc life is tooooo short.enjoy the moment.dont worry be happy

Thanks all.
If I had a silver Pointy, I would do them in black.
But on a Java, they'd look even skinneir.
Was thinkin about getting my Stormers done in black though!

If you get a sale, that's more beer tokens you owe me TFC.
btw. you can leave them in Somalia ... with no coordinates.

Yep - saw that, but even though my tyres are worn out now, they are on 18" rims, besides Bodsy had first shout.

Yep, cos BLF was on his way, thought it might be more economical to send the beer tokens on that flight!
In a straight-jacket , he's no chance of converting them ... has he?

Looking mean Ron They're also quite different as you don't see many D3s with those rims.
Surely you're as well to keep the Stormers though, given the mileage you rack up the lower fuel economy (even if marginal) would eventually haunt you, especially when you're on the road most of the time anyway 2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7
