Front diff input seal leak
Jacked up the D3 to have a look to see the body/chassis rubbers
as per Tiaan, and found the front diff input seal has started to leak.
No drops on the ground yet, but the dust stuck to the bottom of the
diff casing says it all and it's not just a weep. Due for a service soon,
better show the steelers in the morning and let them decide when.D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

Or the pre-painted diff housing issue?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

busaboy74,
Did have a look in the engine bay can't see them.
Would they be easy to spot.
carver D3,
Have not heard of this one yet, could it be the paint blocking
the breather hole

Next to the radiator at the top, not sure which side.

They used to pre-coat the diffs and then install the seal, paint would beak down and the seal would leak.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Had a look at mine . The little cap looks like it will close if there is suction - so I'm not sure if that is the correct breather ?

heine I tend to agree with you, at first I thought it was a blank plug
of sorts, when I grabbed it, it did not move, on twisting, it started to
to turn. The more I turned it, the easier it went, so there must have been
dust in it. You can see the white Botswana dust in the pic. D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.
